OHS - Track & Field Replacement

Brand new field turf replaced the existing, aging field. The track surface was grinded down to an even grade, and broadcast in the school colors and striped to standards. The long jump pit covers and pole vault footings were replaced and runways also received the refurbished surfacing.

This project brought the addition of two new 20' x 30' fabric shade structures at the center of the campus lunch pavillion.

OHS - Gym Bleachers

Actual Finish: Mar 2024 Budget: $510,061.79
The scope of work consisted of the removal of the aging bleachers from the gymnasium and the replacement with new telescoping bleachers including necessary electrical upgrades. Additional improvements for ADA compliance were made in the surrounding areas.

OHS - Gym Windows & Fans

The project involved the removal and replacement the existing clerestory windows on the saw-tooth roof and installation of two big fans inside of gym.

OHS - Gym Roof & HVAC Repairs

Actual Finish: Jan 2022 Budget: $1,526,461.31
This project consisted of the replacement the existing roof with a new membrane over the main gym and the stage areas. Additionally, two HVAC units were replaced at the lobby, as well as three non-functioning exhaust fans for heat capable fans.

OHS - Performing Arts Center

In addition to a 502-seat main theater, the PAC includes a black box theater, drama classrooms, recording studio, scene shop, and green room. The indoor-outdoor lobby with its concession area doubles as an event venue, as does the new plaza on the west side of the building. The main theater is equipped with sophisticated audio/visual, lighting and acoustical systems that can facilitate a wide variety of performances and events.

OHS - Modernization, Music

Actual Finish: Feb 2013 Budget: $3,848,715.00
The existing music building, built in 1955, was replaced with a new, larger two-classroom, acoustically improved building to accommodate both the band and choir programs. The new music building also provides practice and instrument storage areas, student and staff restrooms and office space.

OHS - New, Career Tech

Actual Finish: Aug 2012 Budget: $4,648,005.08
Two classroom buildings were added to the campus to allow for expansion of the career technology educational program. The new facilities were designed specifically for students to receive health sciences and building trades career and technical training. A new 141-space parking lot was added adjacent to the buildings to provide parking in the southwest corner of the campus.

OHS - Athletic Field

The high school's stadium received major upgrades during the short time span between the end of the 2009 and the beginning of the 2010 football season, including a new synthetic turf athletic field and 9-lane track, the addition of over 2,500 grandstand seats on the home side with relocation of over 1,000 bleacher seats and a restroom building to the visitors’ side, a new fitness center with restrooms and locker room, a new ticket booth, and field lighting.

OHS - Modernization, Gymnasium

Actual Finish: Mar 2008 Budget: $7,092,711.00
The renovation of the gymnasium, also included the conversion of the stage to PE classrooms and reconstruction of the girls' shower/locker area into department offices. New construction included a one-story front entrance addition and demolition of the existing boys' shower/locker area, replacing it with a two-story gymnasium addition.

OHS - New, Science & Tech Bldg

The new three-story Science and Technology building houses 30 classrooms and labs, four study rooms, rooftop astronomy viewing deck and two greenhouses.

Aging classroom buildings built in 1956, 1959, and 1965 housing 26 classrooms were modernized, providing students with an up-to-date learning environment.

Aging facilities including classroom buildings built in 1937, 1939, and 1970, housing 21 classrooms, were modernized providing students with an up-to-date learning environment.

Aging facilities including classroom buildings built in 1954, 1955, and 1959, housing 18 classrooms, the school library (1955) and the administration building (1956) were completely renovated.
