Chavez Middle School is a new 37-classroom school that includes science laboratories, administration, library, multi-purpose, shower/locker facilities, kitchen and food court areas, in addition to play areas with soccer and baseball fields, and hard courts for basketball, handball, and tennis. Modular and two-story design concepts have been incorporated for space efficiency, cost-savings and diverse functionality. The school is located adjacent to the 29-acre Mance Buchanon Park, which provides additional recreation facilities. Funded by Proposition G.
