South Oceanside Elementary School Campus Modernization

July 1, 2006

Completed July 2006 OUSD’s oldest elementary school with buildings erected in 1947, 1949, 1953, and 1966-67, received a complete facelift of its 21 classrooms, library, multipurpose room and food services facility, and administration areas.  Funded by Proposition G.

Jefferson Middle School New Construction

January 1, 2006

Completed January 2006 Two prototypical design two-story, eight classroom buildings and a new prototypical boys’ and girls’ shower locker room were added to the campus.  Funded by Proposition G.

El Camino High School New Science and Technology Building

June 1, 2005

The new three-story Science and Technology building houses 30 classrooms and labs, four study rooms, rooftop astronomy viewing deck and two greenhouses.  Funded by Proposition G.

South Oceanside Elementary School New Construction

January 1, 2005

Completed January 2005 In addition to two new single-story kindergarten buildings that house three classrooms, and a new playground,  a two-story, eight classroom building and a student and faculty restroom are new to this campus.  Funded by Proposition G.

Oceanside High School Accessibility (ADA)

August 1, 2004

Completed August 2004 New ramps, stairs, walks and gates were installed to comply with the “Americans with Disabilities Act” (ADA) accessibility requirements.  Funded by Proposition G.

North Terrace School Restroom Modernization

August 1, 2004

Completed August 2004 Boys and girls restrooms built in 1955 and 1957 and staff restrooms built in 1955 were completely renovated.  Funded by Proposition G.

Laurel Elementary School New Construction

August 1, 2004

Completed August 2004 Three single-story four-classroom buildings, a student restroom building, and a kindergarten playground are all new additions to Laurel Elementary.  Funded by Proposition G

Oceanside High School Phase D Modernization

January 1, 2004

Completed January 2004 Aging classroom buildings built in 1956, 1959, and 1965 housing 26 classrooms were modernized, providing students with an up-to-date learning environment.  Funded by Proposition G.

Jefferson Middle School Music Building Renovation

January 1, 2004

Completed Januray 2004 The band classroom building was modernized.  Funded by Proposition G

El Camino High School Traffic Signal

December 1, 2003

Completed December 2003 A new traffic signal was installed at the student entrance from Rancho del Oro to enhance safety and flow of student traffic.  Funded by Proposition G.
